The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has removed every reference to controversial guru Swami Nityananda in comedy king Dr. Rajendra Prasad forthcoming film 'Ayyare', directed by debutant Sagar Chandra.
The Nityananda Dhyanapeedham said on Tuesday in Hyderabad that CBFC deleted every reference or indication to Nityananda in 'Ayyare'. Notably, in the publicity stills of the film, actor Rajendra Prasad was seen in an attire resembling Nityananda.
Taking objection to those stills, Nityananda had approached the HC, asking for a stay of the film's release. The HC asked Nityananda to approach the censor board with his objections.
